Welcome to the Nederlof network: Europe-wide buyers and distributors of fresh fish for over 40 years.
We have a long history of activity at our production facilities and business premises of Stellendam and IJmuiden, in the Netherlands. Over the years, we have also built up a solid presence on the Italian market, consolidated by the creation of Nederlof Italia S.R.L. and the establishment of a national headquarters in Treviso. Our products are picked and selected at fishing ports and major auctions by experts who work directly with catchers and small producers. They inspect every day’s catch, so as to be sure of offering the best quality at the most competitive prices.

At Stellendam and IJmuiden, our experts supervise every step of production from selection of the product to packaging, in strict compliance with HACCP food safety protocols. SEABASS The Seabass is part of the family of Moronidae. It lives in the temperate waters of the Mediterranean, in the Black Sea and in Eastern Atlantic Ocean, from Norway to Senegal. The average sizes are around 45-60 cm, but an adult can reach and exceed 5 meters in length and 15 kg in weight.

SOLE The sole is a saltwater fish belonging to the family of Soleidae and Pleuronectidi. Laid on its side, it has eyes on the same side of the body which faces the surface of the water. The sole usually inhabits sandy seabed, from the coast up to the lowest depth of over 50 meters and feeds on invertebrates, worms, mollusc and crustaceans.

SQUID The squid is a cephalopod mollusk of the family of Loliginidae. It is characterized by an inner shell and an elongated body, equipped with side fins which reach the rear end of the bag. The color is rosy-transparent with veins dark red and purple. It reaches a length of 30-50 cm and lives on sandy bottoms.

TUB GURNARD TThe tub gurnardis is a teleost fish of the family of Triglidae. It is also known as crock, gavotte or trigla lamp. She lives in the Oriental Atlantic Ocean, from Ireland to Morocco, as well as in the Mediterranean Sea. It inhabits sandy bottoms from 20 meters to 200 meters deep and it can reach 70 cm in length.

BRILL The brill belongs to the family of Scophthalmidae. It’s common in the Mediterranean sea, as well as in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean, from Norway to Morocco. It lives exclusively on soft bottoms, between 15 meters and 70 meters deep. The patterning is very camouflage, brown or beige with light or dark specks. It gets to 70 cm in length and up to 7 kg weight.

BREAM The gilt-head bream is a bony fish belonging to the family of Sparidae. The bream is present in all the Mediterranean Sea and Eastern Atlantic Ocean, from the extreme south of the British Isles to Cape Verde. It lives between 5 meters and 150 meters from the coast. The maximum length is 70 cm, but the most common is between 20 cm and 50 cm. It can reach a weight of about 10 kg.

CUTTLEFISH The cuttlefish is marine cephalopod common in any sea or ocean on the globe. You can easily find both on sandy bottoms than on rock, usually well camouflaged. It has an inner shell, called "cuttlefish bone" and a bag for the ink, which is ejected when the cuttlefish feels threatened. The animal does not exceed 50 cm of length and it may reach 12 kg of weight.
